Crane Insurance - A mine field of risk

Did you ever hear the old saying: The best way through a mine field is following someone else! We live and breathe this practice in our business trades and our activities, we learn from those around us and from the experience of others whether good or bad. Why should insurance be any different?

Cranes are not only a unique industry and skill set, they are a complex puzzle of risk and management that few and far between truly understand. The need for understanding is great in the daily operation of your business and so should the need for understanding the proper ways to protect it.

Is there really a differnce you ask? YES, ABSOLUTELY!

Case in point, a crane and and home are two very different things and deserve seperate attention and understanding. A home does not move, normally and usually does not involve the general public or 3rd party contractors. Sounds easy enough right? So why do we see time and time again, owners skilled and sharpened in the trade insuring their business and assets with the same company insuring their homes? Not neccessarily the same carrier but the agency affiliated with them. To this I warn tread lightly, without proper understanding and guidance the results could be ugly.

Instead of risking it all for the sake of making your agent's day a little happier, my advise would be to locate and review your coverage with a knowledgeable agency providing a national program approach. Whether you are going to utilize the JA KNAPP AGENCY or any other, it is essential that you protect yourself and arm yourself with knowledge and understanding.

In the years since JA KNAPP was founded we have trekked the minefield and pressed the journey constantly learning and educating along the way. Our programs are tried and tested year after year and for that our clients leave happier, businesses healthier and more learned than ever.
